2009

December  - New financing

Promimic has received new funds of three million kronor. The investment comes from current owners and three new investors. The company has through these financings gained a stronger shareholder structure. New investors are Sätila Medtech and two business angels.

- We are pleased to see that both our current owners and new investors are willing to support us in our progress and development of the company. 2010 has started off in a very positive way and we are now excited to face the challenges ahead, says Ulf Brogren, CEO Promimic.

November - NASS

Promimic visited the NASS exhibition in San Fransisco, 10-14 november. 

July - OMTEC exhibition

- Great thanks to everybody visiting our booth at the OMTEC exhibition in Rosemont Chicago, making our participation at the fair a big success. We had a fantastic show, with lots of traffic around our booth and we are very happy to get the confirmation that our technology is unique and interesting to the players on the international market, says CEO Ulf Brogren.

Promimic visited the IDS exhibition in Cologne.

September – Biotech forum

Promimic attended the Biotech forum fair at Bella Center, Copenhagen.

May - ISO Certificate

Promimic has a management system that fulfils the requirements of SS-EN ISO 13485:2003 with respect to development, production and sales of synthetic bone material for implant applications.

May – 1.6 million Swedish kronor for the development of synthetic bone!

A total of 407 companies applied, only 21 received VINNOVA: s grant to realize R&D projects. Promimic was one of the few chosen.

- As a young company, this grant gives us the opportunity to practice a more extensive development of new products. This would not have been possible without the grant. These products will be the base of a long-term growth for Promimic. To be one of the few companies that receives this grant is an acknowledgment that our technique is unique and has great potential. Furthermore, it shows that we have a clear and well-worked out plan for reaching the market with our new technology, says Ulf Brogren, CEO Promimic.

2007

December – New share issue

The capital fund Karolinska Development III has invested in Promimic. New capital and solid owners has been prerequisites for further expansion.

January - Promimics first order

Today, Promimic has entered the commercial market with an order from Q-Sense. Last December, Q-Sense introduced their new sensor crystal with Promimic´s hydroxyapatite surface modification.

2006

March – New share issue

Promimic has reinforced the funds with one million SEK.  Private investors and companies such as Innovationbron Väst StartUp AB and Chalmers Innovation have invested in Promimic.

2005

November – Swedish patent registered

A Swedish patent has been granted for Promimics unique method for surface modification and the production of Hydroxyapatite in the same structure and shape as it exist naturally in the hard structures of human bone and teeth.

April - Promimic wins first award in a national innovation contest

The companies VINNOVA and Nutek have financed 20 technology based companies trough the competition Vinn Nu. Promimic received 300 000 SEK to commercialize the innovation.

2004

October – Chalmers Innovation supports project

Martin Andersson and Per Kjellin start a project to commercialize their innovation and are accepted as an incubation project in Chalmers Innovation. The foundation, Chalmers Innovation, invests 300 000 SEK in the project.

February – Scientific cooperation

Preliminary scientific cooperation has begun between Promimic and Professor Ann Wennerberg at the Department of Odontology, Sahlgrenska Academy, Gothenburg. The purpose is to evaluate the effect of Promimics innovation through scientific studies.

2003

November – Innovation grant

Västragötalandsregionen gives its innovation grant to Martin Andersson and Per Kjellin, allowing them to continue to develop their business concept.

June – Martin Andersson and Per Kjellin receives innovation grant

Martin Andersson and Per Kjellin receive a Chalmers Innovations grant for innovations. This will help the two scientists develop their innovation concerning the production of artificial bone and teeth.
