March - Promimic Named as One of Sweden's Hottest Technology Companies

Promimic has been chosen by the newspapers Affärsvärlden and Ny Teknik as one of Sweden's 33 Hottest Young technology companies for 2011. Promimic has been chosen for the company's nano-thin synthetic bone surface, which is considered to be unique and to have a large international market potential.

February – AAOS

Promimic attended the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) 2011 Annual Meeting. The meeting will be held February 15-19 in San Diego, CA.

February – Article accepted in Clinical Oral Implants Research

The article "The biological response to three different nanostructures applied on smooth implant surfaces" has been accepted to the journal Clinical Oral Implant Research. The article is written by the Promimic researchers Karin Breding and dr. Fredrik Currie, together with among others dr. Ryo Jimbo and professor Ann Wennerberg at Malmö Högskola.

January – 510(k) clearance

The HA^nano Surface™ has received 510(k) approval by the FDA (American Food and Drug Administration). The approval applies to the area of dental implants.

- FDA clearance for the HA^nano Surface™ is an important milestone for Promimic. We are now ready to move forward with the commercialization process of the surface, says Ulf Brogren, CEO of Promimic.

January – New Financing

Promimic has attracted over 10 million SEK in venture capital. The investors among others include Almi Invest, Karolinska Development, Sätila Medtech and several business angels.

October  – NASS

Promimic visited North American Spine Society's Annual Meeting (NASS) in Orlando, Florida.

- Great thanks to everybody visiting our booth at Implants Lyon and the OMTEC exhibition in Rosemont Chicago, making our participation at the fairs a big success. We had two fantastic shows, with lots of traffic around our booth and we are very glad to get this much attention. We have already started initial tests with several customers that we met at the shows says CEO Ulf Brogren.

January - Promimic receives 500 000 SEK in grants

- The support from GöteborgBIO and Sahlgrenska Science Park is crucial for us and makes it possible to do the first study on patients already this year. The study will be a milestone in the development of Promimic and will speed up the commercialization of our products. We are very pleased and excited to receive this grant, says Ulf Brogren, CEO Promimic.
